Fan spins, light comes on, TV shows nothing. Or the picture flickers for a second and dies. That's the one. Nine times out of ten it's the HDMI port — the center pins inside the port get bent or snapped, usually because someone kicked the cable while the console was running.
Here's the part most shops skip over: there's no replacement part to click in. The damaged port has to come off the mainboard — desoldered under magnification, cleaned up, new port soldered on. That's micro-soldering. A lot of shops send it out or just say no. ubrokeit does it at the bench, in-house. No-signal is almost always the HDMI port, and I'll inspect the port before I quote you — I want to know if it's bent pins or something deeper on the board.
